1. The Forbidden City: Architecture, Power, and Restoration

Students step into the world of ancient dynasties to decode the symbols of imperial authority.
Highlights include:

  • Becoming a “Cultural Relic Restorer” through traditional rubbing techniques of the dragon motif from the Hall of Supreme Harmony
  • Exploring the structural logic of Chinese imperial buildings and comparing it with Arab architectural traditions, such as the hip-and-gable roof versus the mosque dome
  • Understanding how architecture becomes a universal language across civilizations

2. The Great Wall : Strategy, Defense, and Communication

A journey through the Juyong Pass introduces students to the military genius of ancient China.
Key activities include:

  • Hiking along one of the most significant sections of the Great Wall
  • Reconstructing the ancient beacon communication system
  • Designing a bilingual (Chinese–Arabic) diagram illustrating traditional defense strategies

3. Beijing: Dual Olympic City: Innovation and Global Dialogue

Students engage with modern China’s role on the world stage through sports, design, and academic exchange.
Program components include:

  • A technology and design session at the Bird’s Nest, analyzing the architectural inspiration of Olympic venues
  • A university exchange where students explore Silk Road trade, cooperation, and cultural exchange with top scholars and students
